“They’re bloodsuckers”

…So says the father of the kid stuck with the $85,000 cell phone bill from Bell Mobility. You decide. He’s sold an “unlimited” data package by someone for his cell phone. He takes them at their word, and plugs in his laptop to use the phone as a wireless modem. He racks up the bits and no one lets him know that he’s spending $$ like a coked out playboy in Vegas.

His dad says no way he’s going to pay. What do you think? Like many I’ve argued for more reasonable rates in Canada for cell phone minutes, and especially for the inflated rates for data usage. Come on, why the hell should we be even talking about paying by the kilobyte??
